Wine harvest 2009

We started our wine harvest on 22nd September which only took us three weeks this year. The harvested grapes were extremely healthy and showed great aroma and tannin development.

The cool and unsettled weather during the blossoming in June produced smaller, more lose grapes which were less likely to be affected by mould and already the naturally smaller yield promised a great vintage. The grapes could ripen to full maturity due to the beautiful, warm summer months and dry weather conditions during September.  We started our wine harvest on 22nd September which only took us three weeks this year.
